Whenever I watch a cat video on youtube when my cat is around, she doesn't seem interested whenever the cats' meow or make noises. I find this odd since a lot of other people have commented that their cats react whenever they hear cats' meows on the computer.
Is it normal that my cat doesn't react to real cat meows on my computer?
Maybe your cat can tell the difference between the sound of a real meow and a meow that's being played through speakers.
Cats meow for humans but not really for each other.
And they are super smart! And can tell that the cats on TV are not real.
When I mean that my cat doesn't react, I don't really mean her meowing at the computer, I mostly mean that whenever I play cat videos, she isn't even remotely interested. She doesn't look at the computer oddly, or stare at the speakers- she just doesn't react at all.
Maybe you watch too many cat videos and you cat has learned to ignore them.
My boyfriend showed me a cute comic where a cat was 'saying' "Master said MEOW! OwO He speaks my language?!!?" So I looked at my kitty and said meow and he perked right up and was like mrrrooowww? It was to cute ~w~ Just saying lol
Cats only meow to humans as a form of communication, not between one another.
You should move to a different country like Cambodia and then your cat issues would be solved.
