My dad would ignore my asthma attacks?

When I was younger my Dad physically abused me which caused asthma attacks, but he refused to let me use my inhaler or get any other type of help. He told me to "stop"...which makes no sense...is it normal for a parent to ignore an asthma attack like that? Now that I'm older, I understand I could have been killed by these kinds of things, which brings up the question: is it normal for a parent to ignore an asthma attack because they did something wrong?

Some people shouldn't be parents. That is pretty fucked up for a parent to do.

Your dad is horrible. Not normal at all.

No sane human seriously risks someone's well-being as a form of punishment - let alone their child.

Well, let me look at a few incidents that caused physical abuse...

      Didn't finish homework quick enough

Failed a test (lowest grade ever)

Call from school because teacher thought I was slacking off

That's only a few of many. I didn't do anything 'wrong' to my Dad. Just about every incident was caused by school. And WHY was I doing bad in school? Hm, let me think...

lol. why are you telling me? You should be telling someone who's paid to give a shit: ie. a Therapist. I'm just saying you obviously know this isn't right and if you don't then hopefully you don't have kids.

and btw you said you "did something wrong" in your original post but now you said "I didn't do anything 'wrong'" so I'm guessing you're just looking for sympathy.

I don't see why you think I care. Also, "physical abuse" is pretty general. You seem fine to me.
