My daughter sat on my son's face, is that normal?

I have two kids, a son and a daughter, my son is 10 and my daughter is 9. Earlier today they were play fighting up in my son's room, I went up to see what was going on because they were making a lot of noise. So I peered through a gap in the door was left open and my daughter was sat on my son's face, it seemed like play fighting so I decided to just leave it and let them get on with it. But now I'm wondering whether I should have done something, should I talk with them? because my son didn't seem to resist.

If they're anything like the kids I have known, she was probably farting on him.

I'm pretty sure I did that to my brother as a kid.
I'd resist by whatever force necessary if he tried to get me, but if I had a sister, I'd probably go easy on her because I wouldn't want to hurt a girl.

Depends. Was she or was she not wearing pants and was he or was he not enjoying it?

Even if it was something more than play fighting, I still don't understand the problem. Kids are curious and often experiment with things. Hindering the natural curiosity might cause problems also. If you do have more evidence that it is something more than fighting, just make sure to explain things clearly to them. And if they insist on using each other to learn, just explain the consequences.

They are just kids playing. At that age it is very unlikely that it is any more than that.

Well you should have told your daughter to get off your son's face. It is unacceptable to sit on someone's face. Other than that, I don't see the issue.

In anticipation, no, I am not talking about the sexual variant. Fack awf.

Word. Sitting on someones face is a violation.

Sitting on another persons face is a sexual act, but I'm guessing that they were just playing. You still should've said something ,though.

You should have told them not to do that because it is inappropriate. But it does just sound like childish play fighting, so there is really nothing to be alarmed about.

They are just kids but if you see that again with your daughter in top maybe you have to talk to them to find out from where they saw that

I would say that even if it WAS that vague sexual curiosity we all start experiencing around that age, the worst you can do is make them feel shameful about it because thats the feeling they'll carry into their future. Take it from me; you don't want their sexual identities to be characterized by shame that early on. Shame creates all sorts of unforeseen results. It could even make them forbidden fruit to each other which is the opposite of what you want.
Their age is probably also a big factor here. If they were older you could be more worried because they should have that initial curiosity being transferred to their peers...not to say that they won't still be trying to fart and fight when they're older.

Long story short: if you talk to them about it keep it innocent while they're young and they'll probably phase out of it without ever knowing you were concerned.

Just kids playing your daughter was sitting on his face to try and squash him or fart on him or something. And your son enjoyed it because he had a butt in his face, it won't last just let them carry on if they're having fun.

Yeah she was probably farting on him and your son wasn't resisting because he liked it, there's no shame in it. Your daughter probably sat on him to try and dominate him and your son enjoyed it, so let him have his fun.

Omg! They are inccoent kids they dont know any better. Dont worry. They obviously wernt doing anything. If he wasnt resisting was probably because she wasnt letting him breath. She probably got a little rough. But the fact that you thought wrong is just smh.
