Apparently some of the people here have never noticed that dogs are not typically very picky. Quite a few of them roll around in the worst smelling stuff they can find, and race to drink from streams that smell like an open sewer.
Make sure your dog is current on his vaccinations, keep an eye on him to make sure he's not getting sick in hidden locations, and otherwise ignore it. Eating the occasional small animal won't kill him unless he gets a bit of bone stuck in his throat.
Some breeds have been trained to hunt small animals. It's like cats that catch and eat mice. The instinct is apart of them. Make sure your dog has all his vaccinations.
My cat was walking around with a squirrel in his mouth like it was a trophy. I didn't want to take it away and destroy his dignity but i had to..
You could bother to train your dog if it bugs you
I mean, just train it that way...
Some dogs have their old scavenging instincts stronger than others. It's going to be tough, because when you let a dog eat something once, they want to do it again...
You could bother to train your dog if it bugs you enough to put it here....
dude, that has got to be the sickest thing i have ever heard of!!!! I thought some of the things I do are weird but I would never think of muncing on one of my burgers. Dude you need help and I'm not talking like a local shink either, you need to goto vienna austria where frued studied and have a team of doctors, like the elephant man. You are one sick puppy
If you haven't already had your dog vaccinated I would do so immediately. Call your veternarian and get their opinion. As far as your dog eating the squirrel - that's not unheard of. Your dog is apart of the food chain and so is the squirrel - this is normal.
