My dog whines when he chews a squeaky

My dog has plenty of squeakies, and I personally don't like him chewing on them (beside the point). Whenever my dog is alone and chewing on a squeaky, he will whine. It's pretty funny, but he only does this with squeakies, not anything else, and usually only when he is alone, although I have been looking right at him when he does it.

Is it normal for a dog to do this?

    Its probably a involantary function of your dog, he probably doesnt know he or she is doing it

    My dog gets upset over the squeak of the squeaky toys too.

    She acts like she's hurt it and feels bad - I know this because she acts the same way with me when she starts playing a little too rough.

    If you're dog is showing signs of distress (whining), maybe don't squeak the toy or buy toys that don't have squeakers in them.

      O_O Um...am I like a dog then? I get really upset when I hear a sqeauky toy squeak.
