I can’t wait for all my kids to be grown so I don’t have to do holidays anymore.

I just picture myself chain smoking in my house surrounded by cats. ☺️

It's farily common for people not to celebrate all the holidays.

Just look at the basis for them; Religious, National events, Military service/action, Labor, etc.

I'm not sure why we don't have a "Free Enterprise Day" for business owners since we have a labor day for the workers... and no businesses, no labor would be needed.

So once you get past celebrating holidays just as an excuse to calibrate something... and get into the meanings of the holidays... Why would you celebrate them all?

Would you only celebrate the ones and events that actually mean something to you personally?

Why would anyone who is not "Christian" celebrate Christmas or Easter? We don't have national holidays for non-Christian religious days. There are even Christians who d not celebrate Christmas as all it is was the Catholic Church deciding that they needed a winter holiday celebration... and who cares that Jesus was certainly born late spring based on the descriptions in the Bible (The shepherds were in the fields at night - they only do that during eweing season when the babies are born).
