My friend sleeps with her dog instead of her boyfriend.

My friend has been with this guy for 11 years and they have twp kids...last year they got a large breed dog and since then its been sleeping next to her in the bed, like a human. Meanwhile the boyfriend sleeps in another room. She says there isn't anything weird about this but I think its pretty weird bordering on creepy. They don't always get along but this arrangement can only make things worse. Is this as weird as I think?

Eh? "and since then its been sleeping next to her in the bed, like a human." Why wouldn't a dog sleep in the same bed as you? I sleep with my two cats all the time and it's fucking cosy.

But obviously she and her BF isn't as close as a BF and a GF should be in my opinion.

As long as she isn't having sex with it, it should be fine. It's large. It has bonded with her. Where else do you expect the man to sleep? There's no room for him on the bed. It's just a bed. If they were doing it on a couch instead, would you still find it odd?
