My girlfriend has such an overactive sex drive. is it normal?

I recently started dating a woman, and we get along really well. We have a lot of similar interests and a similar sense of humor, and she's just a lot of fun to be around.

The only problem so far has been how horny she is all the time. She'll come over my apartment and we'll have sex pretty soon after she gets there.
Then, about an hour after the first time, she'll want to go again, which is fine...

However, my sex drive is only about 2 or 3 times in one day. Today we had sex 5 times in the span of 12 hours. She also told me that she could've had even more if I could've kept up with her.

It seems like the only thing on her mind all the time is how she can get my dick inside of her, and it's definitely a bit flattering at first, but I'm much more interested in just spending time with her, cuddling and watching movies/TV or playing video games, but any time we do that, it's not too long until her hands go back in my pants...

I've tried telling her in those moments that I'm not interested, but it seems like she just sees that as playing hard to get, and it usually takes me physically moving away from her to get her to stop.

Is it normal for her to want to have sex this much? Am I the weird one for wanting to have less sex?

    Funny, if this was a male that wouldn't leave his gf alone and was still playing with her even when she said no, or not interested, I'm sure the answers would be calling the guy every abuser name in the book.

    On this site I'm pretty sure if the roles were reversed the comments would be saying leave him, he doesn't respect boundaries.

    What a bunch of Hippocrates and double standards.

    Me, I'm just going to say talk to her. Tell her basically what you've said here. You haven't said your ages but if you're in your 30s it wouldn't surprise me. Sexual desire/libedo peaks in males and females at different points in life. Roles in your 30s almost flip from early 20s.

      I am in fact 34, while she's still in her 20s, so you're right on point there. I suppose that might have a lot to do with it.

      As to your other point, after making this post, I actually have already talked about it with her, and she said that she understands and will wait until I take the initiative.

    Well I recently posted about thinking I had a too high sex drive and I'm lucky to get it 3-4 times a week lmao. My boyfriend would possibly spontaneously die if I wanted him more than once a day.

    I can tell you from the female perspective though sex drive can be effected by so many things. Time of the month in her cycle, medication, hormones, contraception or rather coming off long term contraception. If its early days in the relationship shes probably hooked on that love drug. Maybe your sex is just rocking her world. Maybe shes been single for a while before you.

    In my case I want or am open to sex every minute of the day but a couple of times a day I would think should be a rare occurance? I would try and be open with her about it, say hey i'm not complaining and i'm really flattered but do you think maybe we could slow down a little my dick is raw.

      Fortunately for me, my girlfriend and I have the same sex drive…we can never get enough lol. We’re both almost 59 and have sex at least once a day, sometimes more.

    From what I've read, wanting to go that many times in a day is definitely not normal. Especially if it's happening every day, it could be a form of hypersexuality (nymphomania).

    You should talk to her about it, like darefu mentioned. The health of your relationship is important, but so is your personal health.
