My hobby is water conservation. iin?

Even though I live on a water rich continent, I love being a desert rat. I use only 55 liters (14½ gal) of water per day. I have devised special ways to wash my hands, brush my teeth, wash dishes, and take showers so that the process is easy.

It's so much fun to be miserly, frugal, and cheap. Am I normal?

Got ya beat. I use 50 liters per day. Got good at conserving water when I lived in Australia long ago. Since then, I've improved my game. I can use less, even outlast anybody in Alice Springs if I need to. My neighbors here in LA, just don't understand the desert lifestyle.

I only use 6 liters and that is all drinking water. I shit in my neighbor's yard and use the siding on his house to wipe my asshole.

My cardboard condo stated leakin after a couple of months, so I bought me a tent made in China at Walmart for $45. Best purchase I've made in a long time. Made some guy lines out of poly cord for a couple of bucks. I held up during the last hurricane. Go figure.

Pretty sure I undercut those 55 liters by quite an amount, even though I'm not even making a conscious effort in conserving water.

I'd call that being environmentally responsible, not miserly or cheap. I grew up with rainwater tanks and have lived in the Australian desert but even though I now live where there's mains water I too am very frugal with water.

The toilet is flushed more than 50% of the time from buckets in the shower; I have very short showers about every second day and never use the bath; I wash dishes once a day or once every second day depending how they build up and do 2 or 3 loads of washing a week in a front loader.

(Despite all this, I just checked my last water bill and it says I use an average 167 litres a day! I don't believe them, I reckon they're doing an estimate based on what "normal" people use so I'll be on the phone to them on Monday for an explanation.)

2 or 3 loads of wash is the killer. I do one load per month. Wear dirty clothes at home (except clean underwear and socks). Put on a clean shirt for shopping; take it off and hang it up when you get home.

Clothes stay clean much longer if you drink lots of water. Nasty smelling chemicals will be eliminated by your kidneys, not by perspiration.
