My mother is addicted to online gaming

My mother plays world of warcraft for hours everyday. She gets too far in the game for example, she cried over something that happened while she was online gaming. She has no real friends, she is very overweight with many other health problems, emotional, does not work, does not go outside, lazy, does not pay attention to anything else not even my little brother. I dont mind gaming, I like to play my ps3 sometimes, but I think its strange for my mother to be the way she is. It upsets me. Is this normal?

    Sounds like you need to talk to her and tell her how you are concern about her and the effects it has on your relationship with her.

    Some of these people have no compassion. @dolphindevil you can not say things like that to people or your going to get a knock from the FBI, trust me it is not funny to conjure these people into your life, they literally will take everyone rights to the internet in your household just for that one comment. Here is the answer to your problem: Are your under the age of 18? If your over the age of 18 you can handle all her affairs, You need to BAKER ACT here immediately but please be considerate with her rent or payments, make sure she makes her payments to everything and then Baker act here since they will keep her in an institution for like 3 weeks or more until she gets better, during that time you need to get a piece of paper that gives you access to her bank account, since she is not well medically you can download and print this paper from the bank website and have the doctors sign so you can take over and make her payments or adjust and save her money, obviously she is not making good life choices, also she is suicidal if she has gone this far. You still have time to save her just be considerate when you do it or your going to have more troubles and loss than its worth.

    I think it's gotten out of hand. You should let her know what's going on and how its affecting you. She might not want to hear it at first, if she's retreated from the world this much. My best advice is to keep trying. Tell me how it goes if you feel like it.
