My parents' racist beliefs

My parents are Chinese and have the following (generalized and a bit exaggerated) beliefs:

Chinese people: depends on the person
Mongols: subhuman invaders
Hong Kong/Taiwan: politically US bootlickers, naturally will hate "real" Chinese people
North Korea: awful, obviously
South Korea: okay
Japan: dying, genetically odd country
Phillipines: lazy
India: trying its best but just cant get there, some lazy people, unfortunate cultural roots
Other Asian countries, like Vietnam: generally not that great
British people: fascinating. some are high-class/elite people
Australians: prisoners, not good people
Other European countries: eh depends, but westerners can be pretty "dirty"
USA: used to be a good place before recent years
Canada: pretty great except Trudeau is weak
Africa: ???

Was wondering if anyone else (or their parents/family members/friends) has interesting beliefs like these

Obviously this is not politically correct, I'm just curious about what others say about different people behind their closed doors

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

The world is a confusing, complicated place. It always has been, which is why humans developed the ability to categorise objects and people and file them away in neat cubbyholes. This very easily turns into stereotyping: assigning attributes to people based on nothing more than their superficial appearance.

Anyone who believes that where someone happens to have been born or the skin colour they happen to have inherited from their ancestors says profound things about a person's character, intelligence or political views is ignorant and intellectually lazy. But confirmation bias will probably mean that they persist in holding on to those false beliefs no matter what.

My family hates black people. We are originally from South Africa my grandma says things were better during apartheid and that most people act like blacks were being oppressed. My grandfather when he was alive said that blacks should have gotten the native american treatment that way south africa would be like the USA in terms of greatness when I was a kid didnt understand that until I got older. My mom says that blacks turn gold in to trash my dad just dose not like blacks he has no opinion he just dose not like them. I personally dont hate or like black people if the black person is ok then I have no problems with them.

Just like WeirdGuyFromTheS0uth had said, your parents sound xenophobic.

Just like WeirdGuyFromTheS0uth had said, your parents sound more xenophobic than racist, a racist is when someone says one race is superior than the other making that other race sound inferior. In other words your parents hate type of people from around the world.
