My power button still works

So, a few months ago I almost ****ed up my computer by plugging the small part of the charger usb into the computer. Since then whenever my pc is off the power button is still working. Is this normal?

    oof sounds like a big problem. Quick throw your Computer out the window it sounds like it's gonna go off any minute.
