She's right. Do you look like a "he"? If you do, it's natural for your professor to call you that, she can't keep track of all the people she has to give lectures to.

While I do believe a person should be called what gender they want to be called, let's be real here: You really can't expect a person to change overnight and suddenly start using pronouns they were never taught. You also can't force her to call you They if she doesn't want to. I suggest you let this one go and finish your semester. There's worse things for an adult like you to be worrying about in life.

Let me be clear, I am for people to live like they want to if this doesn't harm anybody else. Boys should be able to be boys no matter what they wear and girls too. Gender is all about stereotyping: I am a girl because I am now wearing a dress and I feel like a girl and those who do not agree with me are transphobic. But the translobby is hurting women. Men can just claim that they are women with penis and get access to 'safe' place which were for women only. The places exist for a reason and the transpeople are just taking away the rights of women who have fought so hard and so long.
Get me right, live your life the way you please but I would never consider a transwoman as a female or a woman. He is a male who represents the stereotyped woman.
Biology is real and gender is a social construct. WHy we are so keen at validating gender?

The world does not revolve around transpeople. Those women is Afghanistan cannot opt out of their oppression by identifying to man. This transcraze is only in western society because in other parts of the world and in western countries there are still women who are oppressed not because they identify as women but because they are woman (biological woman).

I have to wonder if this post is just a troll. Realistically doesn't a teacher usually address a student by their first name, or first person pronoun (You)? How many times in any given semester does a teacher talk about a student in the third person?

In a report wouldn't it read something like "Student shows great progress...". No need for He, She, They, or It.
