My teacher talks about christianity

My Music teacher(I'm in college)talks about Christianity very openly, and almost shoves it down our throats. He is also a preacher. I have no problem when it comes to religion. I don't care what religion someone believes in, But when that person is my teacher and is shoving down my throat , I have a problem. What I mean is that my teacher is a christian, and I'm 100% okay with that. The only problem I have is that He talks about it as if It's the only type of religion. Is this normal?

    If it's music class, he should primarily stick to teaching music.

    You are old enough to ignore it. People do things I don't care for all day everyday. Part of being an adult is letting things like that go.

    College professors have far more freedom to say what they want then high school teachers it's normal.

    I would complain to the Assistant Principal if it bothers you or get your parents to do it. It's not appropriate that's for sure.

    Not appropriate. He is there to teach music not religion.

    You know there are other religions so what does it matter? I'd try to see what you can learn from him.

    I had a lecturer in college who would go on and on about his Buddhist-inspired mindfulness beliefs. We'd be quiet for 45mins listening to him ramble on any random day of his choosing.

    Looking back I kind of appreciate it. Some of the stuff he talked about made sense and helped us focus on the work at hand. Others in the class took offence to what he was saying and didn't learn from the beneficial parts.

    I guess it depends on your perspective.

      Yes, it is valuable in that case. You see if you hadn't noticed that professeer wasn't Xtian (or monotheist/otherwise tyrannical)...

    I went to a school that preached Christianity, we had to pray five times a day, history was all about Jesus and the bible, our principal used God as a threat, it was awful. I was once forced to pray to God to cleanse my sins or whatever after I pushed a girl over in the playground and hurt her. I was then expelled for a week. And now I adore Satan, practise Witchcraft, hang out in graveyards and I terrorised the principal until she moved cities and jobs.

    Preaching religion to impressionable students is dangerous and wrong. Look how I turned out. Not normal at all.

    You should report it. Teachers aren't allowed to do that. Same way they can't tell you which political parties they support etc. Or at least they aren't suppose to.

    Many Christians seem to believe their book is the actual word of god, and that others are some kind of fake. It seem to be true of most of the middle-eastern religions. He needs some education!
