I love my wife - however - she won’t let me do a backflip

Her arguments -

“You’ll break your neck” - Maybe, I’m willing to take the risk on account of backflips making me look cool

“I never said you couldn’t do a backflip, you’re just saying I said that. You just need an excuse not to do a backflip because you’re too afraid to try” - don’t listen to this one

“Backflips aren’t that cool” - she loses all credibility here

My arguments -

“Backflips are cool” - I’d like to be cool

She should let you do a backflip (this is the right one) 13
I agree with your wife (this is the wrong one) 13

    With proper training and on proper mats at first - back-flips are totally normal and doable unless you have certain medical issues.

    Find a gymnastics gym and show her that you can do it with proper supervision/training on proper mats with safety personal.

    Just make sure she videos you doing it.

    If you survive unharmed, it'll be proof that she needs to have more faith in you. If you break your neck, you'll either gain fame as a Darwin Award nominee, or you'll be able to relive your glory days when you're a paraplegic.

    Knowing it could actually break your neck, I can't see how that's worth it just to perform a cool but useless trick. How would you feel about that decision if it actually did happen and you're crippled for life? But its your choice. Its says that the chance is low, but it gets higher if you cant fully commit (like if you're instinctively scared of it I assume).
