Oh he absolutely did a lot. He managed to make the US the laughing stock of the world in just four years and sufficiently played down a pandemic so as that the most powerful nation on the planet and arguably the richest (China is up there) somehow had the worst response.
Do I like President Joe Biden? No. Do I prefer him to the former president with the lowest average approval rating of not just my lifetime but US history? Yes.

Going to jail and being dope sick everyday before getting a fix. Was a constant state of worry. Id go to sleep feeling good but worried knowing im gonna be sick in the morning and just praying the dope man picks up and comes through. Even when I was on the way to get it it was constant worry something would go wrong and id be sick as fuck.

Floppy disks, they tried to teach us how to use them in primary school but I never understood. Another one is higher levels of bigotry and lower emphasis on recycling and shrinking our carbon footprints.

Well it certainly didn’t help that we were “sharing” laptops and my “partner” wouldn’t let me use the mouse. A lot of my time was wasted in school in 2003.

The absence of GPS, probably. I've always been extremely afraid of getting lost in the middle of nowhere and GPS has provided me great peace of mind. Even with Mapquest, if you somehow got turned around in a rural area, it was only of so much help.

There were loads of things in the relatively recent past that were much worse than they are now.
For example, before the discovery of antibiotics, even the most trivial of things could lead to septicaemia; a splinter in your finger could kill you. Jack Daniel (he of the whiskey) is just one of the countless people who died of blood poisoning, and although it seems it's a myth that this happened because he'd injured his toe by kicking a safe after forgetting the combination, that sort of really stupid, random stuff did happen.
I was born in the 1950s, and the polio vaccine was introduced in that decade. Before then, there were regular outbreaks of polio in even developed countries like the USA, so it was possible for a kid to spend a fun summer day at the swimming pool, pick up the virus, soon be in an iron lung, and then have to deal with some degree of disability for the rest of their life.
The world we live in is far from perfect, but many people lack perspective and have an idealised vision of a past where things moved at a slower pace, life was much less stressful, everyone was nicer to each other and people were generally happier. Some of that is at least partially true, but there were lots of things about that past that were very shitty.

Actually, I’m not sure I miss anything from the past. There’s plenty of people from my past that I miss, but I can’t think of THINGS that I miss. There are times when I miss not having access to all the drama and bullshit that social media(and websites like this hellhole) bring, but I think easy access to talk to the people I want to talk to outweighs the drawbacks of hearing from the people i don’t.

Probably in the early 1970s. I really hated it at school when the certain stupid teachers only as boys to help with the projector, or whatever. When I was in elementary school I was taller, and stronger than the majority of other kids, and so I really didn't like when when so school teacher wanted a so called strong student to help carry stuff, and they typically asked a male student, because I was bigger, and stronger than most boys.

Rose you do realize you're only seeing it from your perspective.
Understand back then, the teacher would most likely have been in trouble for expecting a female to do those things. Menial tasks were beneath females and should be given to the dirty grunts known as boys.
Sometimes we don't see things as even or fair not realizing, we actually had the advantage, and we're being treated better.

Most people don't.
I've noticed a lot of times when people see things as unfair not equal, they see or want the rewards but not the negitive part.
Spain opened it's military to females in 99 and rather than be fair and require females to serve they made it optional. Males were required. In 01 they ended the 200+ year requirement for mandatory service for males.

The days before streaming services when you had to buy (or pirate, sorry) everything as an individual CD/MP3/DVD etc. for your collection.
The days before podcasts were a thing. This is probably really pathetic, but I honestly think they're one of the few things that have kept me sane (or at least however sane I've managed to be) over the past bunch of years.

Slow computers and internet. Computers not being user-friendly. Video cassettes getting old or their tape coming out. Grainy analog television. Very few tv channels.
There's a few other things like low tv resolution, poor video game graphics, etc. But I don't think I'd count them since I didn't see them as bad at the time, I was more than happy with them and I didn't expect them to get much better.

Dial up internet, floppy disks, CRT monitors and TVs, rotary dial phones, fax machines and telexes, VCRs...
Ineffective garbage not worthy of nostalgia. Missing stuff like this is like saying you miss 90s blob cars, or excessive autotune... Nobody misses that!

I still have an old CRT TV and VCR and love them, lol! Both work great, and I like that the TV doesn't try to shut itself off after so long like the new ones unless I tell it to with the sleep timer. Plus, it has a "demo" option that walks you through the entire menu, which I think is super cool and have never seen on another TV. I love my new Smart TV in the other room as well, but still love using the old one, too. It's pretty big and wood encased, so it also doubles as a nice shelf, lol.
Unfortunately, I think excessive autotune is still alive and well. Some of the music I've heard on the radio lately sounds very processed.

Near the end of their lifetime, CRTs had actually gotten pretty good. There are 2k CRTs, and people can even get their old CRTs to run 2560x1600@60Hz. If people made more modern CRTs, they'd likely be the best monitors on the market. They'd just be really heavy and really expensive.
