I don’t even pay attention to make or model, the real question is this: can the driver figure out how to put it in neutral? This is basic makings of a good truck, everything else is secondary.
2000 F-150. Ran it to 278,000 when the tranny started to slip. Alternator, starter, plugs, and two coils is all I ever did to the engine. Still have it parked in the back 40. Tough truck that went through hell.
Pickup trucks <90s
Hate the bubbly oversized ones with passenger cabin and useless bed.
Never got the point in owning a truck unless you are using the truck for truck stuff as in moving crap from point a to b enough where a truck is necessary. Even then doesnt a trailer work for the same purpose?
I dont care for cars. As long as it's long lasting and has a good gas mileage I dont care what it looks like.
I feel like if you have a yard you can always use a truck. They come in handy for getting sticks out of your yard and easier to bring in forniture and whatnot
Yeah it does but its a little more work to hookup and alot of cars dont come with tow hooks
i still love my 83 k20
400sb .030 overbore forged aluminum bottom end rv/tow cam oversize valves holley carb weiand intake hooker headers flowmaster 40s built turbo 350 np208 xfer case all stainless fuel brake tranny & ps lines 4.11 front & rear gears
400 hp 600 ftlb all day
real necksnapper jumpin outta the hole in 4wd low
yeah i like it
it was a borin 4 speed automatic with a stock 350 & rusted out fuel & brake lines when i got it so ive done a tona work on it since i bought it 20 years ago next month
one thing i got that you never see is that i got factory dual fuel tanks both in good shape and the switchover in the cab works great
right now i got the death wobble causea well documented (in 73-87 c&k trucks) frame weakness / cracks around the steering box
gonna do some weldin this summer on that area but gotta take a buncha shit apart to get there
you should get yours checked out if you got any front end or steering instability but its more common in the 4wd versions
those squarebody chevys are worth more & more lately
I dont have a c10 I just want one. Tried to buy one from a guy at work but he wanted more than id pay. Theyre really nice.
Right now I drive a 2006 GMC Canyon crew cab. So far I'm happy with it. It has a 4 cylinder which is kind of gay but the gas mileage is ridiculous. I drive an hour a day round trip for work I spend maybe like 20 a week on gas. It gets much better gas than my Impala. It hauls the boat fine. I like it. I saw reviews saying it was grossly under powered but thats abit of fake news. It has much more power than a 90s S10.
i have an 06 silverado 1500 too with 5.3
mileage sucks but i dont care its comfortable
got leather bose sound & sunroof and just turned 90k miles but i spend a lot lately keepin it up to standard (and i do all my own work so i know its well maintained)
the squarebody is worth more lately though that has 135k on it but about 1000 on the drivetrain
