The entire idea of No Nut November seems like it was made specifically for certain users of this site. All it does is serve as an excuse for creepstains to talk about their masturbation habits and how short an amount of time they could go without jerking it, probably followed up by some graphic explanation of how much they splooged and how good it felt

  No nut November has been around for a few years now, at least. As the post r/nofap (a subreddit for people who want to get over masturbation addiction) does it.
  
  And an unfortunate number of high schoolers do it, too. I say an unfortunate number because there are actually that many high schoolers who masturbate. Ironically, many of them fail, proving the point: people are so addicted to masturbation that they can't go one month without it.

    To say it's addictive is misleading and seems to portray it in a negative light. Studies have shown that men who ejaculate a few times a week are less likely to develop prostate cancer. It doesn't matter if they ejaculate with a partner during intercourse or alone while masturbating. So if a guy doesn't have a partner then it's probably safe to say masturbation is beneficial. Although just like eating or any other behavior it is possible to over do it.

I see, so one study that says it may increase the risk in younger men outweighs all the others that say it may be beneficial.

    Thank you for the insightful question. To be fair, I think it can be interpreted both ways.
    
    My personal feeling is “bad”. An occasional orgasm contributes to psychological health and a robust sense of well being.
    
    But some people, especially masochists, enjoy enduring the pain. In fact, I once knew a guy that reckoned the destitution became extra exciting when he imagined he was offering up the pain to a deity.
    
    To be broad minded, we all must realize that the pursuit of happiness takes many forms.
