Normal i lost weight but my scale says i didn't?

I have been restricting calories, eating a whole lot less.

I was a size 10 for a while now my clothes are growing too big so I am now a size 6. My friends all noticed without me saying anything yet my scale says the same weight I was...

I'm so confused. I don't exercise so it isn't muscle weight. Normal?

    Who are you Garfield?
    Scales dont lie.
I suck at algebra but, I love regular math.
    Numbers dont lie.
Before you flip out and throw your poor scale out the window.
Get a second opinion at another scale.
Then, if the numbers ARE different.
    Get a new scale.
Otherwise, admit you still have weight to lose.

Time to try some different scales, I think.

I don't see how it's possible to drop four sizes and not lose weight if you've not been replacing fat with muscle.

        10 - 2 = 6?

My knowledge of women's clothing sizes is very limited, but that seems a very strange sort of mathematics.
