I once had a pet poodle,
Who had a funny name like Spoodle.
One day we were playing ball,
But it went over a wall,
And he sat there and barked like a noodle.
Awwww... that's normal. They're just so cute and innocent, makes crying easy. Everyone else that posted just seems to be a downer. Ever tried reading Love that Dog? o_o;;
Please don't ignore me. I was asking a serious question. I don't think I've ever seen a dog poem.
Perhaps I should elaborate, I can understand getting emotional over animals. I love them and could see myself reacting that way to stories...but I've not seen poems before.
Ignore the posters so far. I know exactly what you mean, and it's normal.
@justsomgirl I don't think I've ever read a poem about dogs before either. I think I might have to google this one :-)
I think it's normal, I cry a lot every time I read a dog poem, see dog movie, or read stories about dog. I have two dogs, Lucky and Bravo, they are not pet, they are part of the family. I think even the poem is not sad it's quite normal because you have such a sensitive feeling and lot sense of caring. That is the way you are, even if you are a boy or even an adult, it's still normal, don't bother yourself by what people say that you are coward, pussy, or other negative thought, they just don't understand, that's it.
I'm not sure if the OP cried or not, it was something I just made up on the spot
Perhaps because such poems are in past tense indicating (indirectly) that the dog is no longer alive?
A relationship with a dog is like no other relationship because dogs, more that any other creature including humans, love us unconditionally. They are honest, open and sincere, like no other friend we'll ever have. Naturally you'd feel that way about dog poems.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
If you're mean to my master
I'll sink my teeth into you
Well now I can say I officially have read a poem about a dog. Thanks dude.
Now even more curious...did the OP cry? She said she cried even when they weren't sad...
