Normal to annoy people on facebook?

sometimes i'm bored and i post things on facebook to annoy people. for example, if someone says, "i had a bad day", i might say, "too bad, not my problem". i know that's a little unfortunate. therefore, i am going to ask you, is there something seriously wrong with me?

I think it is normal. So much of what people post on Facebook is such attention seeking lameness, they probably need a dose of reality.

If you don't care that they had a bad day then why are they in your friends list? Time to trim the fat?

A troll is a person who speaks the ugly truth. People who are oblivious, stupid or attention seekers call people like me a troll, fair enough, I do hurt people's feelings. But if someone's parents didn't teach them how to function appropriately in society then the only way they'll learn is through the baptismal fires of trolling/bullying, whatever you wanna call it. Those who are strong and persistent will learn from it while the weak and meek will perish in their own faults and incapacity to look into themselves.

  • It's just your garden-variety lack of empathy. It's usually a sign of youth because as you age and mature you start developing empathy for others. Or at least you should; sometimes adults with personality disorders don't.

Once you start having crappy things happen to you in your life (and it will happen one day), then you will understand a little more of what it's like to walk a mile in another person's shoes because you've been there too.

i have empathy for others. what's i think is more childish is when people tell all 500 of their "friends" every little mundane detail of their lives.

You know, there's a flip-side to that coin. You could be someone who's walked a mile in shit, barefoot (metaphorically speaking), and walking in someone else's shoes will only remind you of how rough you had it. So what I'm trying to say is, after going through a lot more things than that person posting about their "bad/unfortunate/boring day", its kind of hard to be epathetic when you see that person as a whiney bitch who has it pretty sweet.

not seriously wrong, unless of course, you don't grow out of it.

thisis is right. kids are thoughtless. one reason, is because usually not too much has happened to them yet, or they are still under the protective wing of mom and dad, so they don't really know what some of the difficulties out there are. they have yet to develop compassion.

sometimes, it's just that the comment, for some reason, just happened to hit you the wrong way. it's easy to be a shithead when you aren't face to face.

plenty of things have happened to me, but like i said before, that doesn't mean i find it interesting that someone had a bagel for breakfast that was slightly over-toasted.
