I hate when people who are senile or decrepit drive and can barely keep from crashing. This guy took 10 minutes to limp his way to his car and yet he drives! If you aren't healthy, can't see or hear and have slow reflexes why the hell are you on the road?
People say teenagers are bad but I think d drivers are way more dangerous.
Teen drivers have very terrible judgement, which is a lot different from the impaired driving of the elderly. If the insurance agencies agreed with you, then the rates would reflect it, don't you think?
I don't disagree with you, that at a certain point, one must stop driving. But for someone who has been independent and self sufficient for 3/4ers of a century, this isn't as easy as some young person might think.
A little patience and compassion are in order here, not some shitty attitude, after all, one day it will be you who has to make that decision to give up the freedom and independence driving gives us.
Not all teenagers or old people are horrid drivers. And just because someone may walk with a cane or look sickly does not automatically mean they are incapable of handling a motor vehicle.
my mother told me this story, she saw this elderly man, he was walking really slow, the elderly man was headed to help this younger guy put a big box in his trunk. even though he was elderly and most likely in pain, he still helped that man.
my grandpa was like that, slow, and in pain a lot, still liked to help people. he was a great man. he was going to stop driving soon. he knew he was getting too old to drive because he was hurting. he was helping his wife, grandma, she has old timers, he was making sure she ate, got her medicine she has to take, cooked, that old man you are talking about, you don't know his story, yes, i believe elderly people should retake their drivers test. for their safety and other peoples safety.
what is more dangerous, is the idiots on their cellphones all the time and get in a wreck because they expect others will just move. so stop throwing battle axes at an elderly man for walking slow. i swear, this age has made people more ignorant and hateful. everyone is in such a hurry. slow down.
