Just finished a 9 week contract working a shitty 50/hr week job. Just started my new contract at the art studio I film and edit art tutorials for and it's been a rocky start but its sweet to be back.

I've been raising a puppy for the past 3 months and it's been a lot of ups and downs. Progress then regression and all that stuff.

Feeling distant towards my partner... hes starting to remind me of my father physically and I dont know how to bring that up without upsetting him.

I'm miserable. I love my father very much, but the role of of fulltime caregiver does not come naturally to me. I've also been fighting off a sinus infection since around the time my mother passed away, and my doctor has refused to prescribe me antibiotics. Oh well, at least she refills the Klonopin sometimes.

For the record I know my doctor is right about the antibiotics. I just always feel dizzy, and unwell.

I miss my Siamese cat, and my mother so much. It's kind of like I'm living in this weird alternate reality from which I cannot escape. Time, and space feels like trying to swim in gelatin. I don't miss fighting with my mother, or hearing her complain about my poor housekeeping skills, or lack thereof. I also don't miss all the passive-aggressive comments, but I feel guilty about it.

My sex drive has been down lately. Other than that, just regular boring life shit. I'll take the opportunity to ramble, though:

I feel like I started life super late. Didn't get a car until mid-20s, didn't get a degree until late-20s, didn't get a non-part-time job until I was 30, and now working out the financials of how to best move out of my parents' house.

I mainly regret the time wasted in grade school. I was a lazy loner kid and graduated with no social skills, no direction, no real idea of what I wanted to do, and a distinct hatred for learning. Part of that was me not applying myself, most of that was a mix of bullying and the modern school curriculum giving out as much busywork as possible because that's easier than teaching or trying to challenge the students intellectually in any way. Here's an idea, maybe we forget more than 90% of what we learned FOR A REASON, and it's not just something that naturally happens? Maybe rote repetition of formula tables is a total waste of time and energy that causes kids to think that's just what learning is, which hampers them for the rest of their lives?

Bah, whatever... I'm trying to figure out wtf is going on with my bank and this car right now.
