This post is not meant to bully anyone here, but is like to know: is it normal to hate someone on IIN?

I think I have a pretty good attitude about this site. I try to stay open minded. I don't get emotionally involved when I disagree with someone. I don't take anything personally, not even trolling. I don't think I'm overly invested in things here in any way.

However, there is one user here that I just can't stand. I won't say a word about who it is, but every time I see them comment, I just think "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!!!!!" I should specify that this user is not a troll, and based on all of the IMMEDIATE thumbs up that they get, they are quite popular.

I feel immature. Is it normal to let another user get under your skin this way?

Only one? I feel this way about a few users. Some people just get under your skin. When I see the name of someone like this, I just don't read what they have to say.

I don't know if this user was a troll, but there was a user a while back named Allistala and everything he/she/it/we said just pissed me off.

  Haha - I swung between finding her jaw-achingly stupid, to entertainingly ridiculous. Love/Hate. Sometimes characters like that shake things up a little (as long as they don't out-stay their welcome :P)

It is perfectly normal to hate someone on this site as most are fairly weird or they would have something better to do with their lives. A lot of people come on here just to provoke arguments. on the other hand some like me just like to spout their "words of wisdom" because no one in their REAL lives wants to listen. Just don't take it to heart. Each person on here represents approximately 0.000000000001 % of the worlds population.

    You know now that I think of it I'm not sure if it was a troll but there was a user awhile back that got banned, something with dragon in the username or diamond? I thought he/she was a pain in the ass...so I guess it's normal I wasn't fond of them at all.

Yeah, it's normal. I can't do it, though. It's really impossible for me to stay mad at anyone for longer than 24 hours. On the internet, that time period is shortened to immediately after their username leaves my line of sight. Don't ask why, I don't know.

  The point of this post was to ask if it was normal not to make a defamatory post about another user. There's no place for that here. It's wrong. so I won't tell you who it is. Mostly, I just don't like their comments. I think they are long winded, self righteous, condescending, mediocre advice wise, and accusatory of other users. Just rude overall and I've never bothered getting involved in a debate with that person because I literally couldn't stand reading their stupid, stupid 2 page long responses.

I think it's normal to find certain people irritating.

Doesn't matter if it's online or offline - certain personalities and habits of communication just grind ya gears, get on your nerves, rub you up the wrong way.

I'm sure I annoy people here sometimes, as much as I'm annoyed by some people here sometimes. Just have to keep things in perspective - it's a little website, little corner of the internet; none of this matters in the grand scheme of things :)

I've had heated disagreements a couple of times, I think it's normal/human, but I'd say rarely does that happen. I definitely don't hate anyone, I wonder what makes you feel so emotionally invested in this user, hahaha, for all you really know of them. What makes you hate someone so easily?

  I guess hate is the wrong word. It's more like extreme extreme annoyance, like how I feel when I hear bill oriley talk. I never got in a debate with this person. I'm ok after a disagreement too, even if someone calls me names. I just forget about it.

  It's normal. Some of the newer users on here are starting to get to me. When I first came here, I got good, solid, advice that I was able to apply to my situations. Now I seem to mostly get sugarcoated, PC, badly written, unrealistic, or inexperienced advice I can't even use. I honestly don't see this place as a good way to get help anymore.
