Painful lump on the groin

Three days ago i noticed a lump that was painful to touch on the groin, right side. Today the pain has increased and the lump has increased in size and the pain is felt on the whole of my right leg. I'm female.

Is that normal? Will it go away by itself?

    "groin" is not very specific.

There is a large lymph node in the upper inner thighs that can get very swollen and sore if that leg has some kind of major infection.

You should see a Dr or Nurse Practitioner ASAP Regardless of where it exactly is as this could be a serious health issue.

there is an unquestionable hurdle for the unlicensed newcomer.

Be the one who knows how to impersonate the person who has to impersonate him or her.

    Hope this helps ( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)

Maybe your lymph node is swollen?

    Likely an inflamed lymph node.

Almost always no big deal, can be a sign of simple infection. Go to the doctor anyway, but I wouldn’t stress.

dont worry, the urologist will not do anything unless it is cancer. I have cysts that hurt all the time, yet they told me nothing can be done unless it turns to cancer. go figure. DUH!

Perfectly normal. It happens to everyone. Just put some lotion on it and take a few aspirins. It will be all better in a few months.

Also, very important..is your leg swollen?

It could either be an abscess or DVT. DVT is a life threatening emergency. If the affected leg is 1. Hot, 2. Red and swollen, and/or 3. Feels really squishy, like a rotten peach, go to a doctor immediately.

Whichever it might be, it needs medical attention.

    • No, my leg is not swollen. It looks like the images of abscess in the internet.

Also, do you take any hormonal birth control? Or have you had a long plane ride or bedrest recently?

Is it red? Is it hot to the touch? Do you see any track mark, like a pimple forming?

Most important...is the lump hard or squishy (like a rotten peach)?

    • No, It's not red, not hot. It's hard.
I don't take hormonal birth control. No long flight either.
      Maybe a long bedrest.
