Panic attacks question

Hi guys so I've had anxiety for a couple years and I get occasional panic attacks. I have 2 types of panic attacks. One is when it is triggered by an event: Racing heart, can't speak, shaking, chest pain, feeling the need to run etc. And the 2nd one is random and happens out of nowhere. The one that happens out of no where I can also feel when its about to happen but it happens very fast. I get really hot and then my vision starts going and my hearing starts going and my legs give way (almost like I'm fainting) I never pass out though. I asked my doctor about the 2nd one being normal and she said it wasn't. So i was wondering if anyone has ever had a panic attack like the second one I described?

Do you maybe start recognizing the sensations then you consciously say to yourself that you are having a panic attack? And from there on it sort of feeds itself and spirals and grows in a split second? Like from sudden concern to full blown panic in an instant?
Your vision, does it become tunnel vision?

    • Ever sense Ive had the panic attacks I can tell when they are about to happen and i only have a matter of seconds and it freaks me out even more. And Yes it is tunnel vision exactly. Like my vision goes into little circles and then I lose it completely and my hearing kind of does this weird thing and then its gone too. That one lasts for about a minute but the other ones last a lot longer.

I used to sometimes get the physical sensation that I associated with a panic attack and then when I'd make the mental connection I would be afraid of having a panic attack which would then cause the panic attack. Almost like the physical sensation then triggered the fear of fear and it snowballed.
Yeah I would get sort of tunnel vision and I guess my hearing seemed odd. Like I would sort of zone out.

        • Yea it's kind of a retarded circle effect. Like I have a panic attack and then I freak out about having another panic attack so then I get a panic attack. lol

Mine always seem to be sudden and with no cause, but my symptoms are also feeling faint, racing heart, chest pain, shortness of breath, tingling/numbness of hands and arms.
I'm not quite sure how 'normal' that is though.

It doesn't sound quite like any attack I've ever had. The first panic attack I had I ended up in the ER as a kid. Felt like I couldn't breathe, racing heart, faint, very weak(like I couldn't walk), decreased vision. I thought something was happening, but apparently it's just anxiety. I used to panic, but I don't really get those attacks anymore. I think I still get anxiety though because at times I feel a little weird, light-headed, dizzy, blurred vision.
