Northeasterners in general, particularly those from urban areas, have a reputation for being rude. I don't know exactly why, but I'm sure there's a cultural explanation

I had a friend growing up from Connecticut. He was pretty aggressive. His mother was a trip. He'd always say "people here dont like people from the North! Thats why I get in so much trouble at school" I remember they wanted to go to the movies and I said I dont like the movies its too loud so his mother was like I got you and when we got there she actually got them to turn it down just for me haha. They had strong northern accents but his stepdad was some super redneck with a mullet. Anytime I spent the night his stepdad would wake up and say "see this heres why your friend has to go home NOW" and he'd always point out random bullshit just as an excuse to get me out of there. Like him need feeding the bird yet
