Is it normal for people to create false stories? I've read stories of people licking every twig off of the ground (You obviously do not do that) also people making fake stories about disgusting incest relationships and other just completely random things that absolutely nobody does, the strongest example is the twig one. What do they get out of it?
All topics should be thought as real.
And replied to with respect to the question asked (IIN yes or no) in respect to this site itself.
How many times have we all seen posts that seem outrageous or even inhuman, and then seen others reply with their good intentions? Not everyone thinks the same as what is normal or not (hence this site). We should not assume that any submitted topic is fake, only Moderators/Admins have that right to remove any unwelcome posts.
Regarding incest topics, they can easily be real.
Regarding the topic on licking every twig off the ground, again this is a real IIN question.
We have no right to judge the validity of topics just on our own understandings since everyone has different ideas on is it normal. Otherwise some may even feel this question may not be real (ie placed in by staff or something like that)
Regarding is it normal people make fake topics? No, to the best of our understanding.

To test my creative writing skills and gather opinions on various topics that I couldn't be taken seriously about if the post was purely hypothetical in nature.

I don't mind the fake ones that are actually funny. But I'm getting a little bit sick of the bullshit on this site, generally.
Did you see the post from ages ago that just stated the story of the song "jizz in my pants". So many people took that seriously...now that is a troll I can get behind.

I liked the ones that ranted on and on, then in the last line, it became apparent they'd just related the plotline for some movie or TV show.

Yeah; I've seen another fake ones myself. But, for me, it isn't that they lied. It's that they lied badly.
If this website and its users were serious all the time, a lot of the fun would disappear, and I'd guess a lot of the people with it.
I don't mind the occasional fake story as long as it's entertaining in some way.
I hope to the gods that many of the entries on this site are fictitious.
I think it's normal, and honestly, I don't mind it when they're funny or skeptic. But I do feel myself bothered when they're making fun of someone that shouldn't be made fun of. For example, a couple of minutes ago I read a story about a 6-year-old with AIDS. Obviously it was a troll post, but there are thousands of different topics you can make troll posts about, and you decide to make it about a serious illness that millions of real children all around the world die from every day without being their fault. I just didn't think it was funny nor acceptable.
