They will act nice to you one minute and say they like you then they'll say some really mean snide comment to you the next. It's happened with multiple users on this site. Does everyone here have BPD or something? People here are two-faced, just saying.
That's how human beings are behind a computer screen. You're also catching them on different days, at different times, in different moods. Not everyone acts exactly the same all the time, sometimes people will be quite grumpy even though they were kind the week before. It's different with people you actually know in real life because you may know their behavioral quirks or what may be upsetting them, and even then it can cause misunderstandings.
I have a feeling I'm one of the targets of this post. I have OCD and when a certain type of theme or obsession has bored itself into my brain I can come off as someone with BPD. I try to be patient with people because I know they're not the cause of my anxiety or the panic attack I'm fighting off. If someone pushes me just a little bit too hard when I'm in that state, I can go from "let's give this person the benefit of the doubt" to "this person can fucking hang themselves tonight for all I care" literally between responses
Someone pointed out on another post a while ago that it seems this site is frequented mostly by neurodivergent types, so maybe that has something to do with it? I don't have BPD but I've been an asshole to people more often than I would've liked. When I catch myself being toxic towards anyone online I usually will take a break for a few days. I'm better than I was before but I've still got some progress to make in regards to being a dick online
Yeah someone on here told me they liked me and thought I was nice, then they said on another comment that I belong in an institution.
Another person said the same thing, that they like me and think I'm cool, then for literally no reason, replied to me saying "shut your whore mouth."
And another person just now who said I'm their favourite user on the site, when they had written a really long story they wrote, so I replied with a similar story I wrote saying how I thought it was similar, they just replied "TLDR". I'm sick of people treating me like this.
And I'm neurodivergant I have asperger's but I am not two-faced.
I’ve found people in general are complaisant as fuck. They will witness what a piece of shit someone is, even complain about it behind their back, and when that person shows up I’m thinking “oh this will be good” but they just roll over and act like they love the fuckers because “I don’t want to cause drama by having an opinion!!!”. And I’m not talking about friendly shit talk. If that were the case they would say such things face to face as well
