People only care

People only seem to care about the constitution in the US when it benefits them. But then on other things they want the constitution to be thrown to the side when governing the way they want it. To me the constitution is sacred and it needs to be preserved because its GOOD.

Free speech, freedom against being searched and property being seized, the right to not being forced to incriminate yourself in court, right to speedy trial, freedom from cruel and unusual punishment, the right for states to make their own laws, right to protect yourself, gun rights.

These are not bad rights and should be taken serious.

I can't speak much on this, since the Constitution is based on evil Masonic and Protestant ideals.

However, I would suggest that more people either pick a side. Either the Constitution should be embraced or it shouldn't.

    • I dont want to project a narrative in your possibly innocent remark. But incase you were poking fun at the constitution to reduce its value because 1 amendment you have never had to use. But just because you dont use that amendment often like the rest of them doesnt mean the whole constitution is a joke. It actually is a good thing that American soldiers cant just take your house and tell you to get out. We have never had to use it but its still good.

"because it's good" is a very compelling argument, I'm sure you'll change many people's views like this lol

    • Why throw out a document that guarantees you rights that most everyone would agree are good?
I think most of the rights 95% of people would agree are good. The 2nd amendment is really the only controversial one. This document protects you from government overreach.

Unfortunately people are ok with government overreach if it benefits their cause. But what they dont think about is they lose too because eventually their opposition gets in power and will do thr same thing.
