If you do not go to a medical professional, you risk a worse infection. If you insist on DIY surgery, I would probably try a needle before slicing it open. Do not soak your mouth in peroxide. You can rinse with a 50/50 mix of peroxide and water, but straight peroxide will definitely chemical burn your gums, cheek and anything else it touches in your mouth. You also do not want to leave the mix sitting in your mouth. Swish it around and spit it out.
There must be a state funded hospital that has to see you even if you cant afford to pay. They may even give you a few pain pills afterward. The sac of the abcess has to be removed, otherwise the infection will return. Sooner rather than later.
Health care is prohibitively priced in the US. So, many people do DIY minor surgeries. Bake your exacto knife on a cookie sheet at 300 F for 20 minutes to sterilize it. Super glue is good to seal incisions after cleaning them with iodine. YouTube videos are very helpful.
Since this is oral surgery, procedures are different. Do your research. Once you start the procedure, you cannot stop. You must complete it successfully.
If this gets infected, it could kill you. Mouths are filthy.
The "special mouthwash" that would be used in this instance is Betadine oral solution. (Povidone iodine, low percentage)
If you still do this, numb the area with clove oil beforehand and get SOMEONE ELSE to do it.
Your local hospital might even do it for you. The chance of infection is high and it is not worth the risk.
Just use a needle and rinse your mouth out with warm salt water. You can also add some lemon into it and each day till it heals rub some salt on it. I know it'll hurt like a bitch but it wont destroy your mouth
There's special mouthwash you can get too. People get it after wisdom teeth-pulling-out-ers to disinfect it. it's better than listerine.
I don't know anything about hydrogen peroxide...
I would dab tea tree oil or something on it.
But you'll probably be fine. I would do it. If you're generally healthy, you probably won't get a bad infection. And if you do, then just doctor it then.
Boil the blade beforehand. (Why not a pin or a needle and lance it?). Use anti-septic and it's just as hygienic as a doctor would be only much cheaper.
Ouch ouch ouch, noo. Go to a doctor. Or at least watch a mouth surgery first.
