Philosophy: vote now

On the topic of philosophy in general, is it more useful to have a philosophy for moral conduct or to anti-have philosophy for moral conducting? Lest it be, that you are not a slave, I think too much the art of how to live my own life myself by myself for myself. On the contrary, wisdom says my friend, that you are prudent and will go far, for it is "useful" or useful, and solipsism, my old friend agnosticism, and ethical subjectivism are the only systems I need, you must be prepared for what's in your mind because it helps you to behave, which is not in your mind but it's from your mind. • What's annoying is people trying to use philosophy just to use philosophy, in attempts to look wise, when their philosophy makes no sense.

    • Philosophy for a rational mind is what I had in mind,, not just for philosophy. Though analysations came before science, and subjectivism is scientific, even though a scientist doesn't use it, but some scientists do, they will believe anything they want, the cream of the rationalisations, like yeah, you have a reason to place people under the matrix, it really is rational even if it's making you believe this is real. And people really are rational even if they spend years learning, it's smart to learn in school, when doing things and learning quicker can be done by an animal, they're smarter than humans, but humans are animals, yet the animals aren't human, oh yes they are, what am I saying, a human is an animal!!!

Philosophy is baseless. It makes castles in the air. Ideas are just ideas. You can project any idea you like, nobody can prevent you; and once you project the idea you can find all kinds of rationalizations to support it. There is no difficulty.

Your question is a very hard read for the average person on IIN. Try to break down your statement in multiple sentences. Also, would you mind placing quotation marks (wisdom says: "my friend,...")?

Maybe it would also help if you'd explain certain terms (like solipsism), since people who didn't get a higher education in philosophy don't know what that means. It's not a bad question you're asking, but it's hard to understand what you're trying to say.

I'd say that philosophy is fascinating, to answer your question.

    • Solipsism's the belief that one's a solipse (a person that is the only thing that exists) and that the solipse only knows itself (and wants another thing to exist).

Depends what area of life you mean.

Ethics: Freedom is my philosophy here. "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of law and it harm none". Basically nothing is unethical unless it causes harm to those who either don't want it or don't deserve it (revenge is not unethical as long as it is within the bounds of reason)

Other: I didn't understand most of your options, but I think philosophy is okay for some topics. Otherwise, there would be a lot more people out of jobs.

    • Just choose an option you think is closest to the truth, or the one on the bottom for other comments, heheh!

You are correct that philosophy is important for moral conduct.
I am hesitant to use the term anti-philosophy, but it is important to look at both sides of the equation and/or many perspectives to make a fair and balanced decision.
It is unfortunately a part of Human Nature to sometimes 'invent' philosophies that are patently false and are sometimes quite elaborate explanations for things. This is not necessary.
First of all, are you really a slave, without knowing it? It can be argued that many people in Western Civilisation are perpetually commited to work for wages that are only enough to meet (sometimes not enough) their basic needs. Are we not also limited in our lifestyle choices by the current Corporate-Socio-Political system.
Secondly, you are a poor artist (actor) if you think how to live only yourself, by yourself, for yourself. This shows greed (me,me,me). We live in a society. It is true that we need to take more responsibility for our own actions. We also need to take into consideration our actions (sometimes inactions) relative to ALL the societies we live in.
Solopsism is incorrect. More exists than one's own mind.
Agnosticism is also incorrect. So is Atheism and EVERY religious philosophy. There are SOME truths in all these, but as a whole each is incorrect.
Ethics are very important. Ethical subjectivism makes me very uneasy. Ethical subjectivism is the root cause for many societal problems. We should not subject ourselves or be subject to this. Think instead of Ethical Guidelines, and to make your decisions based on these.

    • I like subjective socio-interacting philosophies. Plus agnosticism's the king, the feeling of an effeminacy (so God's the queen) even as to not know whether it's there, or not. Be religious, or don't be, be an atheist, or not, religion's unknowable (but atheism's not a religion, it's an invention that talks about God).

Isn't a religion also an invention? What if the original premise for religion is incorrect? Would that not make Atheism a non-belief in something that does not exist?
What if there are elements of truth in religious thought, but they are misunderstood?
