Plug still smells after cleaning

I recently purchased a silicone butt plug from Spencers and after using AND cleaning it, it still smells like a bathroom at a football stadium. I've tried cleaning it with warm water and antibacterial handsoap, scorching hot water and dish soap, antibacterial wipes, and a 10% bleach solution. It still smells. I've read online that boiling it or placing it in the dishwasher can get rid of the smell. I don't want to try either of those things because I don't want someone to find it (especially in one of the pots we cook food in). Is it still safe to use despite the smell?

Wait for when the people you live with are out of the house then, boil it and wash it along with what you boiled it in, in the dishwasher.
