Personally, I think I screwed up big with mine. I came here just as a joke and didn't think I might stay and build a presence and raport with anyone. I didn't care how I'll be coming across. I didn't know anyone and did not think I may get to know anyone.

In fact it doesn't represent my personality, only reflecting the short-lived mood at the time I signed up. I'd really like if it was possible to change it. At least once. Or maybe twice.. And if one wants more times - then the paid version, I guess. What do you say, would like to have such an option?

    You technically can. If you email/message the owner, he can do it for you. It just depends on whether he bothers to read your message. My boyfriend asked for his to be changed about 5 times over the years. It was done 3 times. Idk what your odds are nowadays.

    I love my username. It makes me sound much more aggressive and powerful than I actually am. Also people often assume I'm male and then accuse me of lying if I correct them, which suits me fine because I like to remain as anonymous as possible.

      That's also legit. Since no one gets to choose theirs, and in a free world we shall have the freedom to choose what to be, I believe every person shall have the unrestricted right to choose theirs at least once, without stating a reason.

      I'm not OP, but I've pondered on something along the same lines... Is it easy for users who you've commented on their posts before to notice the username change overnight, (that is if they're keen,) maybe in a few days time, or it's like hitting restart button?

    Yeah I would. I once admitted to trolling, which in hindsight I only did very occasionally, and now anything that's possibly a troll which I post gets shadow banned.

        On here, yeah. Looking back at it I actually only did it a couple of times when I first started, but then I got to know the community nd started taking it seriously. But that's it, if it seems like it's possibly a troll I get shadow banned. It's kind of sad as well because the exact reason I no longer troll, i.e I got to know the community and talking to people, is the exact same reason I don't want to stay on this account which gets its posts very often shadow banned.

      Been there. I never directly mentioned anything related to drug abuse, but I used to post jarring stuff, dark humor, and other hilarious day-to-day observations that most people don't consciously bring up in conversations out of political correctness on Facebook in the early 2010s. I later had to tone it down, and eventually quit using the platform after my parents' relatives started using FB.

        Yeah but I mean when you get to know people just from seeing the same familiar names pop up in the comments. You can assign a personality to each one then. But you'd never get to do that if they keep changing their username.

            Yeah I guess. It'd still be annoying though not knowing for definite whether someone has left IsItNormal or just changed their name. And not knowing whether some new user is actually a regular old user just with a different name. Still though, I guess they are small problems next to the annoyance of disliking your username and having to set up a new account.

          Idk. It was just the mood when I signed up. Now I requested a new one. Will probably regret it later too. When I have to think of one it seems tp. always reflects my current mood. And I have great mood swings
