Pooping when people are in the vicinity

Okay so this has been going on since I was a little girl. I can only poop in public bathrooms when I am the only person in the bathroom. If I am pooping in public when I'm alone, and someone walks in, I hold it in until they finish and leave. I have no problem peeing in public but pooping is just something I cannot bring myself to physically or emotionally do.

Is this normal??

    This is actually quite common.
    I've actually never heard of anyone who doesn't do this.

    Some guys even take their shoes off and turn them around, so it looks like they're pissing if someone sees their legs under the door.

    Not me I don't care who is around me I poop always, everybody does it I don't care if another lady is in a public bathroom I just poop sometimes I fart but I don't care

    I avoid them as much as I can. I don't really want to hear other people's poo-farts or turds hitting the water with a big 'ker-plunk' either, mostly because as childish it sounds I'd get the giggles.

    I do this. For some reason a part of me feels terribly embarrassed but logically I know that we all do it and it's normal to expel what your body doesn't need in this way.
