As far as what you were raised to call a “soft drink”? Where you live, do people call them “Pops”? “Sodas”? Soda Pops? Or just a Coke? I know down in the southern states they just call everything a Coke? Like they’ll just say “What kind of Coke would you like with that today?” What’s your take on this debate?

I grew up in the South, and a lot of people would say coke, and or soda. I'm honestly not fond of the word, "pop".
Even in the midwest no one uses pop to say soda. They just say soda. I guess my grandpa counts when he says pop but I attribute that to being old more than the dialect.
I still use the word coke.
Since no one calls soft drinks soda or pop where I'm from I just refer to them as drinks or fizzy drinks ( depending on the context. )
We use to call it coke but due to changing demographics people are starting to call it soda. One time I was calling it a soda and a friend got mad at me 😂😂
