Problems with jordan peterson
I don't think Jordan Peterson is bad, but I think he's overrated both in his own eyes and the eyes of others.
Peterson acts like having a few valuable points on every subject makes him an oracle on them, though his arguments and explanations are usually incomplete in some way.
He has a tendency to oversimplify, which perhaps gives him greater appeal to a mainstream audience, since it makes him easier to understand.
However, oversimplification comes at the cost of accuracy, nuance, and obviously, detail.
I'll give it to him, though, I think he hit the nail on the head in his speech about responsibility.
However, he isn't that well-spoken, and his observations aren't particularly profound.
If you say that I'm being a hypocrite, or "I'd like to see you do a better job", you have a point. But my issues with Peterson remain to be debunked, or begrudgingly acknowledged as legitimate.
