Question faith: who really was here first

Ok... Here I go..

They say god spent 7 days making earth and putting us on it. He was here b4 time it self .. so they say. But my problem is who made him. How did he get here. How did he just appear and decide to make earth and put us here? Were did he come from. How is he a higher being if he wasn't born and if he was born who is his momma????

At times I doubt the whole God thing but when I remember wat was read to me in the bible I can't help but believe in a higher power. Everything in revelations ate now coming true. We killing each other off, earthquakes back to back, tsunami, and tsunami warnings . The world practically been told in the bible so how can i not believe?

Concider this normal?

  • This is why I wanna become atheist. I find it hard to believe all that OMG there's a god in the sky watching over u. I've never gone to church though so I know nothing about my religion and I think I'm catholic. Soo yeah I agree with u some things make me believe and then some things I'm like wow how stupid is that

I suppose I'm not really a god fearing person. I have never really beleived in him too much, except for in bible camp when they convinced me to "let god into my heart" and made it sound all special and it didn't change things for me. I'm a girl of evolution, and nature. I would like to beleive that there is a higher power out there, and if you beleive that, more power to ya. For me there is just too much evidence to the contrary. Dinosaurs, monkeys etc. Darwin will Aleta be my homie.

By the way, earthquakes are caused my movement of tectonic plates. The recent earthquakes all occured along the ring of fire, a particularly nasty chain of volcanoes.

Dude, stop stressing about who or what made it all, just enjoy it!

You know, I've always felt that believing we were all here by accident, that we don't have any particular meaning, is so much more logical and easy to believe than that some almighty dude put us here.
Though if God -did- exist, the reason he put us here is simple: he wished to be entertained. I mean, it explains everything right? It explains why he doesn't interfere with wars, why he impregnates random virgins, and blessing the pope with a sense of style. He must be bored, being eternal and all, y'know.

Forming a religion is a way politicians use to create laws. They made it all up so people would stop murdering and have something to look forward to (heaven) if they were good. How can there possibly be a god if the bible can't even get it's shit streight. E.g. The old testament, god was cruel and punished those who went against him and even gave the right to kill someone if their oxen killed one of your family members! (don't believe it look it up, he made a huge list of 100 + rules to abide that are very time period particular). Now in the new testament, god became kind and forgave those who went against him. Wanna know why?! Because the original testament wasn't keeping society tame so they wrote a new testament! If there is a god why has he allowed so much evil?! Free will my ass! It's time for a third testament!!

      Exactly old and new testament.
I do Definitely have doubts about both sides of the argument but, I think that thinking there's a god does a lot of good for a lot of people.

So if there isn't, fair enough.
      If there is, fair enough.

Well when you die, and if you believe, you should ask God these questions.

It is funny how you say we live through the bible with "killing eahother off" tsunamis and earthquakes. You should stop and ask yourself if there is an almighty "god" then why does he have us here to kill eachother off and have thousands of people die by tsunamis and earthquake? In my opinion why would a higher power who is supposed to love us give us so much hardship? Answer me that

Jesus had doubts b/f his death. People have always killed each other and natural disasters have occurred. We just know about it instantly. I am 63 and I have heard that "the end is near" for 55 years. Nobody knows. But if you look at the wonders of the world and how the human body works, it is almost impossible not to believe in a higher power.

I am pagan and do not believe in the Christian god, I worship the ancient Greek gods, Zeus, Hera, Athena, Hermes, and so on. Our creation myth isn't simple to understand so I get you wonder, but to us the natural disasters are normal, the gods at war, nature takes a beating, we deal with the consiquence. But to put minds at peace a little. Think as if you are the Earth, mother nature herself, you have these ants crawling all over you causing problems. You are gonna try to get rid of a lot of them. But are you gonna destroy yourself to do it NO.

Well we as humans have this thing that is called "time" God has no time or sequental order. We can't comprehend eternity because we are human and not God. But he is there for sure and to me it dosn't matter who created him. I will know when I die. I would rather be safe an believe that not believe and look like a fool before God.
