Never been to one; can't say I'm not curious. Please take it on faith that I'm female, and don't turn the comments section into a pit of filth.

Go with people you know and just chat with them. 1
Go alone with the aim finding someone to make out/hook up with. 4

    the goal for me isn’t going out just to hook up, obviously if the opportunity arises i’m not gonna say no, but i’m mainly just there to have a couple drinks and meet some interesting people. the best people you’ll ever meet are the ones you talk to one night at a club or bar and then never see again.
