Randomly approached and asked if i was on drugs?

I have always known I am a bad dancer. I just sway along waving my arms a bit. Due to my elongated limbs I have been likened to a dancing tree.

Last weekend I went to a dingy basement club in my town, the dance floor was empty when I got there but, mostly to embarrass my friend, I got up there and soon enough a group of tall girls followed me on to the floor.

They were noticeably looking me up and down and I honestly thought they were checking me out (someone has to find dancing trees attractive I guess). But once the song was over the tallest girl came over and whispered in my ear to ask if I was “on anything”.

She scowled and stormed off when I said no but I thought it was pretty funny.

is it normal to be asked if you’re on drugs because of how badly you dance? Have any of you had a similar experience?

Fuck those cunts. You just keep on bad dancing. People like you bring me great joy & I hope you find your dance partner who's just as awful.

"Fuck those cunts" was pretty close to my knee-jerk thought also.

I tell you though, some people's capacity for rude behavior is astounding.

They wanted you to share your goodies with them. When you said you weren't on anything, they assumed that you were just being stingy and wouldn't share. That is why she scowled and stormed off. The next time it happens, just smile at them and don't give an answer.

  • After I almost died I got diagnosed with ptsd. Everyone thought I was on drugs and tripping out, they couldn't understand I was having panic attacks and flashbacks... Was so fuckin annoying

Perhaps you should practice dancing then?

    • It’s surprisingly difficult, there are videos on YouTube but they’re not much help. I’ve asked my sisters to “teach me some moves” but they just laugh and call me a hopeless case. I am doomed to dance like a tree/ drug user forever and for all eternity.

      • Yeah that’s the impression I got. Security is terrible there so someone could easily take drugs in and share them in the toilet or something.
