Receiving low resolution pictures on messenger

For some strange reason I'm receiving pixelated pictures on my messenger. I'm trying everything from uninstalling/reinstalling to photo editing apps. Nothing is getting rid of the low quality. I even save the pictures I want and it does nothing to fix the problem.

My phone is a Samsung a70 btw. I hear this type of issue occurring with iPhones.

Any advice on how to fix it would be appreciated.

    Zuckerberg is a cheap cheap guy he doesn't want to use his bandwidth for your photos

    Facebook, both the main app and Messenger, compresses image files when posted or sent. If you have a photo you absolutely need to be sent in high quality, use an email to send it.

    If I remember correctly it did the same thing to me. If you want to send high resolution pics use imgbb

    Try unplugging it and then plugging it back in, then blow the dust out of the outlet for good measure
