Remenber 1980s commercials?

Any of you old enough where you remember 1980s commercials? I'll name a couple I remember from the early 80s:

Trix commercial where the Trix rabbit said that there is lemon and orange in every bite. Way back when Trix only had two flavors, lemon and orange.

Snoopy snowcone machine. I'm sure anyone who was a kid in the early 80s remembers that.

Feel free to comment on others you remember from that time

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

    Velveeta vs cheddar song.

'We girls can do anything...right, Barbie?'.

I remember a McDonalds one around Halloween that had McNugget vampires.

This foreign language program for kids called Muzzy (I think he was a blue monster thing, not sure)... 'Je suis la jeune fille' was said in the ad.

Oh...oh! Micro Machines where the guy talked really, really fast!

    Spuds Mackenzie.

Gravy Train dog food where a dog chases this phantom wagon that disappears into the pantry I think...it goes 'grrrrraaaaAAAAAvy'. It was dry dog food that you were supposed to pour some water on and it made 'gravy'.

I vaguely remember Lite Brite and a couple GI Joe toy ads.

    Milk...it does a body good.

Pogo Ball, I remember the song a bit...pogo ball is what ya call it, when you're hoppin and boppin in the air...

Those coffee ads where they only showed hands. Like 2 people having a conversation but you only see their hands making gestures. Wait, maybe that was margarine...or maybe both had ads like that. Yeah I think both did.

Oscar Mayer bologna. My bologna has a first name, it's O-s-c-a-r...

    The heartbeat of America...Chevrolet

Delta airlines with Dusty the Air Lion

My Buddy and Kid Sister dolls. My buddy, my buddy, my buddy and meeeee!

If I think of more I'll come back and post them.

Yess....spuds Mackenzie!!! A few years ago a dude drove around my town in a jeep with no doors with a dawg that looked exactly like spuds. So cute.

Oh yeh, the Velveeta vs cheddar sung to the tune of Blue Danube.
I remember the McDonald's commercials with the Fry guys monsters.
I remember Chuck wagon gravy dog food commercial.
I remember Light bright, I had it as a kid, same with the Masters of the universe collection.
I remember and had a nerf boomerang.
You remember the commercial where the guy's car breaks down out in the country and he walks to this farmhouse where the guy there has a small private plane and flies him back to his car, and while being dropped off he asks the guy "next time, could I have some coffee on board?", I think it was a United airlines commercial. And the Columbian coffee commercials where they always turned around the car, ship, or plane because they forgot the coffee.
And cabbage patch kids and my little ponies, I remember the commercials and my sister had both.
I'll keep trying to remember some more too

I had a Lite Brite too, it sucked though because you needed the black paper to use it and once I used up the few sheets that came with it I couldn't play with it anymore. Back then it wasn't like you could find shit like that just anywhere like you can today and even if you could find it, it was expensive!

Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon? Was that 80's?

Remember that ad for the funny tape you could order for your answering machine, it had greetings set to classical music? Nobody's home...nobody's home...(Beethoven's 5th)

Jello 1-2-3, it made 2 foamy layers on top of the Jello.

        Rice cakes...

Having a birthday party at McDonalds...

Care Bears, jelly shoes, jelly bracelets, Benetton, Skidz, Garbage Pail Kids, Guess jeans, penny loafers, cherry 7-Up, floral print jeans, moon boots, Tupperware, the Thigh Master, cordless phones...

"Where's the beef?" was a classic that skyrocketed Wendy's sales. The marginal return to Wendy's bottom line as a return on investment of their advertising expense was truly a thing of beauty.

        That's true.
And Ronald McDonald and gang definitely skyrocketed McDonald's business back in the day, especially for kids. In more recent years, it's been the indoor McDonald's playground.

I guess I must be lucky, because I was a light smoker for the most part. I guess I kinda quit sometime in 2010, but I just kinda gradually weaned myself off of cigarettes, because I was tired of spending money on cigarettes. I think I smoked about two packs over the course of a year last year.

Honestly, I don't really consider myself a smoker or a nonsmoker. I guess I can take it or leave it for the most part.

I like hot dogs but I keep it simple...ketchup and sweet relish! I do put slaw on bbq pulled pork/chicken and sometimes on a burger. I also like to eat slaw on saltines.

I notice that I have put on 5 lbs in the past couple of months, and I'm also noticing that it's harder for me to relax than it was a couple of months ago, even when I'm just sitting and watching tv. I guess that the 5 extra lbs on my body is what's making relaxing that little bit harder.

You are lucky that you missed out being in Iraq in the Gulf war during Suddam Hussein's rain of terror. People still say he was lightweight compared to Hitler, I can't even imagine the terrors of being Jewish in Europe during WW2.

I read somewhere that every 5 lbs overweight you are takes a year off your life. So being 50 lbs overweight will take off 10 years. I don't know how much truth there is to that though.

How about "Beef. It's what's for dinner tonight"

McDonalds "Have you had your break today?"

I remember the classic infomercial drug commercial with the egg in the frying pan.

Are you sure there was a time Trix had only two flavors? Here's some old Trix commercials, going back to the 1950's that include Raspberry red.

Yes, or sit-n-spin, or Teddy Ruxpin, or pound puppies. 1980s toys and their popular 1980s commercials which are now decades gone.

        God, Sit-n-Spin!

I wonder how many shag pile carpets had to be replaced after some adorable little dungaree-wearing tot projectile vomited purple Kool Aide after a session on that demented toy?

They brought Pound Puppies back a couple years ago. Anyway, back in the 80's I had a black and white spotted one and my brother had a brown one.

I remember when Cabbage Patch dolls were the shit and I asked for one for Christmas but they were sold out...well, I didn't know that they were that hard to find because I was like 8...my parents got me a knockoff doll and I was sort of happy but when I brought her to school I got teased a bit. The real ones had writing on their butt. Mine didn't. It was very similar but had a weird nose. After that year I didn't even care about it anymore though so whatever.

My ultimate toy that I wanted was the Barbie dream pool. I still want that thing. I tore a picture of it out of a catalog and would carry it around looking at it all day. I lost the picture so I went around asking people if they had any catalogs. I ended up finding one but a while later my dad got annoyed with me for staring at it and he snatched it from me and lit it on fire.
