That isss soooo disquisting........i cant even processs this in my head as to why you would even do this....
To each his own. I personally only pick them. Either way, that just makes it harder for the wound to heal....
Self-consumption is a common process in the animal kingdom. Mammals that give birth have a tendency to lick off the placental fluids just to not waste the body fluids and other such things. Snakes that shed their skins tend to eat them, as well, both for conservation of nutrients and, I'd imagine, to conceal their presence. Hamsters, if I'm remembering right, are perhaps the most gruesome example, eating their own birthed children if they don't have enough food to go around for all of them.
So it's not terribly uncommon, but two things: 1. You shouldn't pick scabs, you should let them fall off naturally or rub off easily, lest you scar, and 2. Are you getting enough food? Because I'm sure you've got some better tasting stuff than dried blood lying around.
Yeah it's gross but it's basically like picking your nose or biting your finger nails, so I consider it normal. More people than you might realize do it.
I do it all the time. Kinda gross but totally normal. Like taking a shit.
Ya it's normal, it's kind of like how people pick their boogers then eat it.
