Sounds funny but I'm not joking!
I've always been scared of the ice cream trucks/ Mister Softie. My mom says when I was little I'd scream and cover my ears when I heard the music...still fills me with a sense of dread.
My childhood was filled of tears because of ice cream trucks. I'd run out there just in time to see the truck driving away with my ice cream sandwich... ;(
I've heard that children who go out to those ice cream trucks vanish all the time. Some particularly naive adults, too.
It's like they are a doorway to another universe where people are food for the indigenous race. Here we lick the cone; there they suck the flesh from our bones. Yum, yum.
When I here and ice cream truck I cry to, consumers can no longer afford fresh ice cream and vendors are forced to put there prices up because of fuel costs, insurance and competition from cheap Chinese imports. Were the fuck did we go wrong?
When I saw the truck, I'd run toward it and buy delicious soft serve ice cream cones.
