Scent glands in cats.

I can feel my cats secrete oil from their scent glands when they rub their faces on me. It feels oily and kinda funny. One time my cat Gracie had an oily spot on her head and I wonder if she secreted. I know they're supposed to secrete but is it normal to actually feel it? Also there's this bloke in a band I like who has a cat named Sage, and I wonder if he would smell like sage (the plant). :)

    Since I don't really think the other comments helped at all...

    I've never really felt secretions from cats. I grew up around a LOT of them. I do know that cats sometimes rub against things to leave their scent on them. That could be what you're feeling. But I would talk to a vet about it. I don't think you're supposed to be able to feel it.
