Not the best place to find a partner but hey, kudos to you for trying something unorthodox.
A reality is you are much more likely to meet such a person by participating in various activity groups in your area - where you get to meet real people, than to make a connection over the internet (even using an internet dating site).
I speak from decades of internet dating experiences and I am one of the very few who actually found my wife on an internet dating site after at least 25 years of effort (but only after changing to ones where both of us had to pay real money - hundreds of dollars in my case - up front for a X month membership for that site.
The overall vast majority of internet dating profiles are far from a true representation of the person.
I met far more decent people doing canoeing and kayaking, group bike rides, group park trips, etc. (just not the right one for me to marry although I dates several).
So find some activity groups in your area and start participating. After a few times (when the people know you really are interested and are coming back) make it known that you are looking for someone decent in your life. While you might actually meet the right person their - its far more likely that someone will recommend someone they know to you after they know you well enough.
Then its up to the two of you to meet and see if the chemistry and values you are looking for are there.
I wish you the best with this..
This place is NOT the best place to find a partner. I know that all too well.
You're better off going on a dating website if you want to find someone online.
Yeah dating sites for me were a crap shoot, but they're the best chance a person has if they want to start online.
I remember the men and women on dating sites that omitted various things about themselves. They'd hide things like mental issues, their kids, their drug habits, their arrests, their physical appearance, and a whole host of other things. Meeting up with them and feeling disappointment constantly was a real downer.
After wading through all that bullshit, I did eventually find my boyfriend. He's a teacher who was honest with me from the start. I've been with him since 2015.
Sometimes you gotta keep trying until you find a good one.
Do you really think it's safe to meet people you find in this site??? I hope you're posting just for fun.
I think you'd be better off signing up for a dating site than advertising yourself here, to be honest. Good luck to you, though!
My suggestion would be to reconnect with someone from your past, a high school boyfriend, or something like that.
