Sex dolls anyone?

Is it normal to want a life-sized silicone sex doll? For a while now I've been checking them out, and the technology has come a long way since the old blow-up sex dolls we used to joke about. They're quite realistic, some even have eyes that move. And there is one that can speak and answer basic questions. Would anyone here buy one if he or she could be assured of complete privacy? Does anyone here own one now?

Y'alls get the blue ribbon for most original idea in the county. Put her on top of vibrating power tools for extra stimulation.

a full on doll will set you back a couple grand, try sticking to something a little smaller like an ass or torso/waist and pussy instead

I honestly don't see any problem with them.

Have you ever heard the term "uncanny valley"?

That would be a giant buzzkill for me, but each to their own I guess.

Yeah, it uncanny valley sounds like a creepy place in California that I don't want to go. I know it's that creepy middle ground between real and phoney.

Yeah, something designed to look too lifelike illicits an uncomfortable emotional response in me. They've run countless experiments on this in the AI industry and some how humans just always seem to instinctively know when something isn't human, no matter how life like it is, and therefore immediately distrust it as an imposter. So basically what I'm saying is I'd actually prefer the crappy blow up doll, because at least it isn't pretending to be a real person. That would creep me out too much.
