Shaving phobia

I have a health phobia when shaving. My neck does not feel symmetrical and with severe health anxiety I fear I have lumps and bumps uneven on my neck chin etc. Been checked numerous times by my GP all normal. Has anyone else this problem. I avoid shaving which is terrible as I used to shave every day. Is this normal to feel these irregularities

This phobia has developed so it can be overcome. It sounds irrational but obviously it's a real concern for you, but let's face it, beards don't look that flash and you want to shave everyday like u used to. First, picture yourself with a nicely clean shaven face, then get a new quality razor and some good shave cream if u don't have these already. Give yourself plenty of time and start slowly and just do one small area at first to see how anxiety levels are. Hopefully you are still fine and can shave bit by bit until finished. Remember, if your GP has given you the all clear, u should be fine, just take it slow until you get confident again in what you are doing. Good luck.

I don't know about your neck, but for an asymmetric face: do you typically chew on one side? You probably have some muscle imbalances.
