Is it normal that when i need to shit (usually once a day) i like to go and empty my bowels in the forest near me even if i am at home and only ever have a dump at home as a last resort?
I vote yes. Indoor plumbing hasn't always been around, so why not? It is very uncommon/unusual at the most, but I think it's normal. Why is it that you prefer the woods over the convenience of a toilet? Also, how long have you been doing this?
For me you are perfectly normal. I love to dump in the outdoors too. Wish I had such a forest close to me.
Do you what ypu must when mother nature calls, but do you being toilet paper with you? Otherwise that is just gross
They say that defecating while squatting is better for your body than sitting on a toilet. Just my two cents to help you feel better about your weird habit :)

I used to piss and shit on abandoned railroad tracks where I slept when I was homeless.
Are you scared that someone might hear you at home? Or do you just like the peace and quiet?
