Should i ask my friend to come disguised to a convention?

I'm going a third time to a convention (comic con) and this time I really want to wear a costume. The thing, I'm going with friends and mostly will attend the convention the first time. I'm too shy to go in costume alone, but I don't want to create pressure for first-timers to just show up there in a suit. Should I ask them or wait for another opportunity?

Make it a group conversation. I'm sure some of them would be into it.

  • What, is it a brony convention or something? Your embarrassment is understandable.

    • No lol, it's comic con.

But damn, brony con looks fun. Too bad it's gonna be the last one.

  • Casually bring it up how you may wear one or see what they would think about wearing one. If they seem interested say something like “we should wear costumes together” or something like that. Rather than “yo bitch bring that costume” but you’d know them better on if they’re into dressing up like that or not. At least that’s prob what I’d do. A possible reaction to the situation beforehand may give a better set up for the question.

    • That was really helpful. I have no clue if my friends like this kind of stuff, but yeah, I'll try mentioning it and see if they are interested. Thank you!
